APPE Ignition Features

Designed for hospitality, multifamily, and discerning homeowner use and packed with features and options. PyroMania’s APPE ignition fire pit burner is the world’s most technologically advanced fire pit burner.

On demand pilot light: APPE has a pilot light that is lit only when the fire table is on the ON position. That saves a lot of fuel over time and prevents heat damage to the burner and covers when not in use. The pilot is enclosed in a wind and rain resistant housing that allows for manual lighting if necessary.
Flame recognition auto relight / shutdown: If wind or rain extinguishes the flame, the pilot will automatically relight it.
If the pilot is also extinguished, APPE will automatically try to relight it for 60 seconds before shutting down for safety reasons. It can then be restarted once the problem is rectified.
APPE is a plug and play system. There are several options for control which are interchangeable and require no tools or programming to change.
Our unique 12-volt system is designed to run on 110v AC (utilizing a built-in transformer) and/or a 12v DC battery. The 110v transformer can be plugged into a standard socket or hardwired. Our 12v battery packs are chassis mounted and require no tools to change.
High temperature auto shutdown: If the temperature of the control reaches a temperature close to its maximum operation temperature, it will automatically shutdown until a lower preset temperature is achieved.
APPE burners are assembled using CSA certified components that are assembled onto a chassis. All metal components are 304 stainless steel, brass, and aluminum. And only the highest quality components are used. Such as whistle free flex-pipes which are made from epoxy coated, stainless steel and solid brass. All gas fittings are machined from solid brass.
Electronics are cased in water resistant aluminum enclosures and protected from heat with aerogel insulation panels. Electrical connections are with water-resistant automotive grade connectors.
The burner assembly is fastened to the fire table with wing nuts and uses quick connects at the gas and electrical connections, requiring no tools to remove or install.
Proprietary natural gas/propane convertible orifice assembly. Fully adjustable to handle any btu with use in both natural gas and propane. Adjustable air shutter allows for compensation of altitude and gas pressure as well as adjustment of flame temperature to help control carbon build-up.
Emergency stop switches are standard with all APPE control panels
Multiple control options: the standard control is an on/off push button control for common areas and where restricted use is not required. Below listed more details about the upgraded RFID/Biometric control system and add-on options.

Remote Control

the Bluetooth function is easy to use through our proprietary app. And unlike dedicated Bluetooth controllers, the APPE Bluetooth works independently and harmoniously with the push button switch. So, you can turn the burner on with Bluetooth and turn it off at the control panel, and vice versa. It is designed that way as a safety and convenience feature in case Bluetooth is not available at a given time. There is an LED halo integrated into the push button switch which is blue when the burner is in standby mode, changing to red when the burner is on. Not only does the switch show the status of the fire feature, but it also makes it easy to see it in the dark.

RFID Control

The latest technology in limiting access to only authorized users. RFID uses NFC chips to operate the fire table. The fire table will only operate when an NFC chip is placed against a chip reader. With RFID control, you can start and stop the burner with a programmed card, key fob, smart ring or an acrylic button that can be stuck on your phone case. It includes a programmable timer built in. The default setting is continuous, but it can be set to shut off automatically after any preset running time. With the timer function you never have to worry about someone leaving the fire pit on when unattended. It also includes an emergency stop switch to ensure that the fire feature can be turned off easily and quickly when needed. 2 fobs, 2 stickers and 2 cards will come with the RFID option. Rings are additional charge if needed.

Smart Timer

We offer 3 different timer controls. First is a Bluetooth control through our proprietary app and set timer at any length each time. Second is preset a timer through our proprietary app and the setting is continuous. Third is a dial switch timer. 60-minute is default for any of these three options unless otherwise notified. It includes an emergency stop switch to ensure that the fire feature can be turned off easily and quickly when needed regardless of which control was used to turn it on.

Fingerprint Control

Biometric control uses the operator's unique fingerprint to start and stop the burner. It includes a built in programmable timer. The default setting is continuous, but it can be set to shut off automatically after any preset running time. With the timer function you never have to worry about someone leaving the fire pit on when unattended. It includes an emergency stop switch to ensure that the fire feature can be turned off easily and quickly when needed.

Variable Flame Control

Save fuel and set the flame height as you need it to be. A key is added to the control panel with this option. This is a great additional option when adding the thruster burner.

Key Lockout Switch

Available when it is desirable to lock out use of the fire pit during certain period. It can be combined with other control options.
